Curriculum Vitae:
1991-1997: Study of Geology (MSc.) with focus on engineering geology at TU Munich.

1993-1997: Various internships at Lahmeyer International (Munich), TABERG (Freiburg), Kempten City Administration, Wildbad Tunnel JV and Farchant Tunnel JV. Student assistent at soil- and rock mechanics laboratory of the Chair for General, Applied and Engineering Geology at TU München.

1997-2002: Assistant Lecturer at Chair for General, Applied and Engineering Geology at TU Munich (Prof. Dr. Spaun). Project Manager for various research projects in the field of rock mechanics and tunnelling. PhD in 2002 with a thesis on “Classification and Prediction of Tool Wear in Conventional Hardrock Excavation”

2002-2004: Engineering geologist at Bernd Gebauer Ingenieur GmbH, Munich; Construction Supervision, geotechnical mapping and karst redevelopment at Nuremberg-Ingolstadt Highspeed railway line, Construction Lot South.

2004-2006: Engineering geologist / Project Manager at IFB Eigenschenk GmbH, Deggendorf; Head of Rock Mechanics / Tunnelling Dept.

2006: Founding of Dr. Plinninger Geotechnik with focus on consultancy in the fields of rock excavation, tunnel construction and geotechnical measurements

In 2005 he was appointed as active member of the national working group on rock mechanical investigations of the DGGT.
